In 1955, Bob Henderson started a landscaping business in Johnson City on the Old Elizabethton Hwy. The business was known as Bob Henderson Shrubbery Gardens. In 1969 the name changed to Bob Henderson & Son Shrubbery Gardens when his son Terry joined the business. When Bob retired in 1981, his son opened a new business, Terry Henderson Landscaping. Gradually the business grew from one employee to six providing landscaping installations and hardscaping ( retaining walls, patios, and walkways).

In June 2010, Joseph Carver joined the firm as a partner and the name was changed to Terry Henderson Landscaping GP ( general partnership). The business expanded to include irrigation, landscape lighting, water features, pergolas, and many hardscaping projects. Our team number is now 12 landscape professionals and landscape management including Terry’s son, Chris Henderson.
